The majestic 14ers that line Chaffee County literally surround Mount Princeton Hot Springs and Resort west of Nathrop. The resort has undergone extensive upgrades and additions in recent years. A new, glass-enclosed pavilion, located along Chalk Creek, can accommodate parties and groups of up to 300, rain or shine.
The newly-remodeled SteamPlant Theater and Events Center, located on the banks of the Arkansas River in downtown Salida, can host receptions and meetings of all shapes and sizes. The beautiful outdoor riverside plaza, the grand ballroom or the historic theater and reception area can be combined or used separately to create the ultimate event experience.
If budget and size are top priorities, the Chaffee County Fairgrounds in Poncha Springs is the county's biggest public meeting and event facility. The 6,000-square-foot exhibit hall, meeting room with demonstration kitchen, commercial kitchen, 10,000-square-foot event center, open-air livestock pavilion and two outdoor arenas make this facility home to more than just the county fair.
From beautiful bed and breakfasts, hotels with meeting rooms to the historic Buena Vista Heritage Museum ballroom, venues of all shapes and sizes are available countywide for smaller, more intimate groups.
