Boat Launch
The city-owned boat launching facility (for rafts and kayaks) is on the former railroad right-of-way at G Street and Sackett Avenue.

Parks
Dogs are prohibited in most parks. However, Centennial Park on U.S. 50 has specially constructed pooch facilities.
Alpine: Fourth and F streets. Picnic tables, playground equipment, basketball courts.
Centennial: Swimming pool, tennis courts, covered picnic tables, playground equipment, restrooms.
Marvin: Baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields.
Riverside: F and Sackett streets, adjacent to the Arkansas River.
Thonhoff: Quiet park across Crestone Avenue from the Chaffee County Courthouse. Picnic tables.

Salida Skateboard Park: Corner of First and G streets. Open from dawn to dusk. Rules are posted. Helmets and kneepads are required.
